Insurance Protects When In Need
6 April 2006

Kuala Lumpur, Thu: Naeiman bin Che Nazar, never in his life thought that he
will lose one eyesight while working as a teacher in Sekolah Kebangsaan
Iskandar, Bera, Triang, Pahang.

On 13 August 2004, Naeiman attempted to start a generator at the school due
to a black out that occurred in that area. Upon examining the generator, he
discovered that the battery was weak and he subsequently opened the cover.
Because it was dark, he lighted a lighter and at that particular moment, the
battery ignited fire from the lighter and exploded on his face. The
explosion caused major injury to his left eye. Following this incident,
Naeiman totally lost his left eyesight.

Naeiman's burden of losing his left eyesight has recently been reduced when
Uni.Asia Life settled his insurance claim and presented a cheque amounting
RM24,771.43 to Naeiman on 29 March 2006 at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Iskandar, Bera. This came about following the decision made by Naeiman to effect a life insurance policy with Personal Accident Rider coverage of RM25,000.00
from Uni.Asia Life in September 2003.

As an endowment and life protection plan, it provides the policyholder an opportunity to get life insurance coverage and enjoy the returns of a savings plan that can stretch to 10, 15 and 20 years. In addition to this, the plan provides Death and Total and Permanent Disability coverage.

At the presentation ceremony, Naeiman explained, "In addition to ensuring I have a decent amount of savings for my later years, my other main intention is to ensure I receive the necessary protection through this policy. The decision to purchase this policy has turned out to be one of the best that I have ever made as I have never expected such calamity to happen to me. I would like to thank Uni.Asia Life and the agent, Rozman Abdul Malek for the care and services extended to me during the difficult times that I went through after losing my left eyesight."

Naeiman added, "Contrary to the general perception that insurance companies do not pay when claims are made, Uni.Asia Life however, has proven that claims can be justly evaluated and paid provided that the policyholder meets all the obligations as required."
