Uni Capital Guaranteed Fund IV
Fund Objective
The Fund allows investors to participate in the index basket’s
out-performance of high dividend stock index against the overall
market index.
Fund Strategy
The Fund will be invested in UOBM Outperformance Structured Product
which is based on the performance of 3 underlying index baskets.
The index basket consists of sub-baskets from Euro Zone, US and
Japan and its strategy is based on the premise that stable historic
dividends from the basis for sound stock selection and a good indication
of future earnings.
The investment performance is calculated based on the average quarterly
performance of each high dividend index relative to its respective
overall index. Interest is then paid on the maturity based on the
3-year average performance according to the following winning allocation
– the highest weight, 50% to the best performing sub-basket,
30% to the second best performing sub-basket and 20% to the least
performing sub-basket.
Fund Manager
The UOBM Outperfomance Structured Product is managed by United Overseas
Bank (Malaysia) Berhad (UOBM) and administered by Uni.Asia Life
Assurance Berhad. UOBM has a credit rating of AA1 by Rating Agency
of Malaysia and guarantees the capital at maturity so there is minimal
risk to UAL.
Counterparty Risk
There will be a small element of risk if UOBM default but this is
very unlikely to happen over 3 years.
Capital Guaranteed
In order to meet the guaranteed capital upon maturity, UOBM will
mainly invest in UOB interest rates swaps and UOB fixed income securities.
Frequency of Fund Valuation.
The fund will be valued on the 15th and the last day of every month
for the purpose of determining the fund’s net asset value.
If the Valuation Date falls on a Public Holiday, State Holiday
or any other holiday, the previous working day shall be the Valuation
Date for that valuation period.

Fund Management Charge
A one-off charge is deducted up-front from the Account
